Page Speed Optimization

A slow WordPress site loses visitors before they see your offer, and Google notices too. We go through your hosting, theme, plugins, images and database, fix what is dragging the site down, and hand it back loading in under three seconds with Core Web Vitals passing. If we can’t get there, you don’t pay.

Page speed optimization

Every layer of the stack, tuned

There is rarely one thing making a WordPress site slow. It is usually a stack of small problems: oversized images, a theme loading scripts on every page, a database full of old revisions, and caching that was never set up properly. We work through all of them in order, measure after each step, and only stop when the numbers are where they should be.

Complete Image Optimization

Images are the biggest weight on most pages. We compress and resize every image already on the site, convert them to WebP where the browser supports it, and set up lazy loading so pages below the fold don't hold up the first paint. Your photos still look sharp; they just stop costing seconds.

Database Optimization

Years of post revisions, expired transients, spam comments and leftover tables from deleted plugins slow every database query down. We clean all of that out, optimise the tables and set up a schedule so the bloat doesn't creep back.

Premium Cache Plugin

We install and configure a premium caching plugin (WP Rocket, around $39 a year) with page caching, minified CSS and JavaScript, delayed script loading and a CDN if your traffic needs it. The licence is included in the price, and the settings are tuned for your site rather than left on defaults.

Speed Optimization Report

You get a before-and-after report with PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix scores, load times and Core Web Vitals for the pages we tested. We also walk you through what changed and what to avoid, so the site stays fast after we're done.

Seconds saved are dollars earned

Google’s own data puts the drop in conversions from a one-second delay well into double digits, and on mobile it is worse. The clients we work with usually see bounce rates fall and enquiries pick up within a few weeks of the speed work, without changing anything else on the site.

Speed is also one of the few ranking signals you can fix in a day. Core Web Vitals are part of how Google evaluates pages, so a faster site helps the SEO work you have already paid for go further.

Speed Optimization

How It Works

Most speed jobs are finished within 24 hours of getting access. Here is what happens in that time.

Step_01

Audit & Backup

We take a full backup, run baseline speed tests on your key pages and list every issue we find, from image sizes to render-blocking scripts.

Step_02

Optimize

Images, database, caching, code minification and hosting settings are worked through one by one, with a speed test after each change to confirm it helped.

Step_03

Verify & Report

We re-test on desktop and mobile, check nothing on the site broke, and send you the before-and-after report with the settings documented.

Speed, Answered

How fast will my site be after optimization?

Our target is a load time under three seconds and a passing Core Web Vitals result on the pages we test, with a Lighthouse performance score of 90 or higher on most sites. If we can’t reach that, the job is free. The exact result depends on your hosting and theme, and we tell you upfront if either will hold the site back.

It shouldn’t, and we take a full backup before touching anything. Caching and script optimisation can occasionally affect sliders, forms or animations, so we test every key page after the work and fix anything that misbehaves. If a plugin can’t be optimised safely, we exclude it rather than risk the site.

Usually not. Most sites can be made fast on the hosting they already have. Where the server itself is the bottleneck, we tell you before starting and can recommend or set up a better host, but that is your call and never a condition of the service.

WordPress admin access, and hosting or cPanel access if we need to change server-level settings. That is it. You don’t need to prepare anything else, and we send the login details back or remove our user when the work is done.

Yes, as long as the site is looked after. New plugins and unoptimised uploads are what slow sites down again over time. Our WordPress support VA plan keeps an eye on that with regular checks, updates and image optimisation, so the speed you paid for holds.

It does. Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals, and slow pages also lose visitors before they convert. Speed on its own won’t rank a page that isn’t optimised for its keyword, which is what our on-page SEO services handle, and a site with a poor structure may need a proper WordPress redesign rather than a tune-up. We’ll tell you honestly which one you need.
